In this working paper, an estimation of the possible future demand for agricultural land for the expansion of ground-mounted photovoltaic systems in Germany is developed. For the estimation, current political goals as well as different energy scenarios are considered in order to determine the demand for installed PV ca-pacity in a fully transformed energy system. The required PV power can be installed on different areas (e.g. rooftops, agricultural area). The number of installations on agricultural land depends on many factors and can develop very differently in the future. In addition, the future demand for land is influenced by the specific land use, i.e. how much land is needed per installed capacity. All three factors are subject to a high degree of uncertainty. The most probable development is assumed to be the current political target of 215 GWp installed capacity by 2030 and for a fully transformed energy system 400 GWp installed capacity by 2040, a share of 50 % on agricultural land and a specific land use of 1.4 ha/MWp. Based on this, the land use for a transformed energy system (year 2040) is 280,000 ha. This corresponds to a share of 1.7 % of the currently agricultural used area. The range of all scenarios considered is between 0.3 % and 4 %, which shows the high uncertainty of the forecast.

    Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Gründungsprozess von gemeinwohlorientierten Genossenschaften in Österreich. Dabei werden Grundhaltungen der Gründer*innen sowie ihres Umfeldes, ihr gemeinwohlorientierter Zugang, das Genossenschaftsmodell und der Einsatz des Businessplans als Unternehmensgründungsinstrument genauer betrachtet und in Frage gestellt. Ausgehend von einer ideologischen Polarisierung zwischen wirtschaftsliberalen Akteur*innen und gemeinwohlorientierten Gründer*innen werden Grundhaltungen, Gründungsmotivationen und Vor- und Nachteile des Genossenschaftsmodells dargestellt. Überdies wird der Einsatz des Businessplans kritisch hinterfragt und durch die Gründer*innen anhand ihrer Erfahrungen bewertet. Zudem werden mögliche Ergänzungen zum Businessplan und Alternativen sowie gesetzliche Möglichkeiten für eine gemeinwohlorientierte Ausrichtung der Wirtschaft dargestellt. This thesis deals with the founding process of public welfare-oriented cooperatives in Austria. The basic attitudes of the founders and their environment, their approach to the common good, the cooperative model and the use of the business plan as an instrument for setting up a company are examined in detail. Starting from an ideological polarization between economically liberal actors and public welfare-oriented founders, basic attitudes, founding motivations and advantages and disadvantages of the cooperative model are presented. In addition, the use of the business plan is critically questioned and evaluated by the founders based on their experiences. Furthermore, possible supplements to the business plan and alternatives as well as legal possibilities for a public welfare-oriented orientation of the economy are presented. Für den rationalen gesellschaftlichen Diskurs zur Lösung der vielfältigen Zielkonflikte auf dem Weg zu einem nachhaltigen Pflanzenbausind wissenschaftliche Fakten über die Beziehungen zwischen den Zielen unabdingbar. Daher hat die Gesellschaft für Pflanzenbauwissen-schaften wissenschaftliche Befunde zu den Themenbereichen Biodiversität, Klimarelevanz und Klimaresilienz, Nährstoffmanagement,Pflanzenschutz, Bodenschutz und Produktion nachwachsender Rohstoffe zusammengestellt und den bestehenden Forschungsbedarfidentifiziert. Nach einem Executive Summary, das die Befunde schlaglichtartig darstellt, werden die Themenbereiche im Einzelnen ausgeführt. Ziel dieses Papiers ist nicht, Empfehlungen für die politische Entscheidungsfindung abzugeben, sondern die öffentliche Diskussiondurch Bereitstellung von Sachinformationen zu unterstützen. Scientific facts about the relationships between the goals are indispensable for the rational social discourse on solving the various conflict-ing goals on the way to sustainable crop production. Therefore, the German Society for Agronomy has compiled scientific findings on thetopics of biodiversity, climate relevance and climate resilience, nutrient management, crop protection, soil protection and production ofrenewable raw materials, and identified the existing need for research. After an executive summary that highlights the findings, the subjectareas are explained in detail. The purpose of this paper is not to make recommendations for policy-making, but to support the publicdebate by providing factual information.

    Die Welt steht vor zentralen gesellschaftlichen und ökologischen Herausforderungen. Unternehmen sind dabei zentrale Akteure auf der globalen Nachhaltigkeitsagenda, die bereits grosse Anstrengungen unternommen haben, um ihre Geschäftstätigkeit hinsichtlich der Triple Bottom Line zu optimieren. Die Fortschritte auf Produktebene sind jedoch bislang gering und beschränken sich in erster Linie auf die Reduktion schädlicher Umweltauswirkungen. Um die großen gesellschaftlichen Probleme effektiv adressieren zu können, sind jedoch echte unternehmerische Nachhaltigkeit und nachhaltigkeitsorientierte Innovationen auf Produktebene nötig (Dyllick & Muff, 2016). Diese Innovationen in Richtung Produktnachhaltigkeit 3.0 bemühen sich, keine negativen Auswirkungen zu haben und stattdessen positive Beiträge für die Gesellschaft zu erbringen. Um die Umsetzung solcher Produktinnovationen zu fördern, untersucht die vorliegende Forschungsarbeit anhand von vier Fallstudien den Innovationsprozess in Richtung Produktnachhaltigkeit 3.0. Entlang des gesamten Innovationsprozesses von der Ideenfindung bis hin zur Markteinführung werden zentrale Aktivitäten und Erfolgsfaktoren identifiziert, die die erfolgreiche Umsetzung und Markteinführung von Innovation in Richtung Produktnachhaltigkeit 3.0 unterstützen können. Die gewonnen Erkenntnisse werden in einem idealtypischen Prozessmodell für Produktnachhaltigkeit 3.0 vereint. Die Ergebnisse dieser Forschungsarbeit bereichern das Verständnis nachhaltigkeitsorientierter Innovationen und dazugehöriger Innovationsprozesse. Zudem bieten sie praktische Orientierung, wie die Umsetzung von Innovationen in Richtung Produktnachhaltigkeit 3.0 gelingen kann und wie Unternehmen Innovationen fördern können, die positive Beiträge zu einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung leisten. The world is facing key social and environmental challenges. In this context, companies are central players on the global sustainability agenda, which have already made great efforts to optimize their business activities with regard to the 'triple bottom line'. However, progress at product level has so far been slow and primarily limited to reducing harmful environmental impacts. To effectively address major societal problems, sustainability-oriented product innovations aiming at 'true business sustainability' are required (Dyllick & Muff, 2016). These innovations toward product sustainability 3.0 strive to have no negative impacts and make positive contributions to society instead. To support the implementation of such product innovations, this research examines the innovation process towards product sustainability 3.0 based on four case studies. Along the entire innovation process from idea generation to market launch, key activities and success factors are identified that can support the successful realization and market launch of innovation towards product sustainability 3.0. The insights gained are integrated in an ideal-typical process model for product sustainability 3.0. The results of this research enrich the understanding of sustainability-oriented innovations and associated innovation processes. In addition, they offer practical guidance on how the implementation of innovations towards product sustainability 3.0 can succeed and how companies can promote innovations that make positive contributions to sustainable development.

    Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem traditionellen Handwerk im Bauwesen. Konkret wird auf die Arbeitsweisen im Bauwesen der Gründerzeit in Wien von 1840 bis 1918 eingegangen. Zuerst muss geklärt werden, wie sich das Handwerk in Österreich entwickelte und was der Begriff Handwerk bedeutet, da dieser in der Literatur nicht eindeutig definiert ist. Die Gebäude der Gründerzeit sind eine ausgezeichnete Quelle für die Rekonstruktion traditioneller Handwerkstechniken. Erst durch eine intensive Auseinandersetzung mit den unterschiedlichen Gewerken, die an der Errichtung beteiligt waren, deren Werkzeuge und Techniken, und der Verwendung der damals vorhandenen Materialien und deren Einsatz, kann die wertvolle und kenntnisreiche Arbeit erkannt werden. Wieviel Handwerk steckt in einem Gründerzeithaus? Welche Fähigkeiten und welches Wissen war notwendig, diese Bauten zu errichten und welche davon sind heute für die Pflege, Wartung und Sanierung erforderlich? Ohne das umfangreiche Wissen über die traditionellen Handwerkstechniken und die verwendeten Materialien wäre die Erhaltung historischer Gebäude, zumindest unter Beachtung der Denkmalpflege, nicht möglich. Um historische Gebäude zu erhalten ist also ein qualifiziertes Handwerk mit umfangreichen Kenntnissen von traditionellen Techniken unumgänglich. Damit diese benötigten traditionellen Techniken nicht verloren gehen, ist eine interne und externe Fort- und Weiterbildung von Handwerkern notwendig. Die Abteilung des Bundesdenkmalamtes für historisches Handwerk leistet gerade in diesem Aufgabenbereich in Form von Archiven, Weiterbildungen und als Informationsstelle für alle an der Denkmalpflege Beteiligten, einen wichtigen Beitrag. Kenntnisreichtum über den richtigen Umgang und die Einsatzgebiete von Werkzeug und Material beschreibt das Wesen des traditionellen Handwerks. Ein außergewöhnliches Berufsethos trägt dazu bei, dass das Wissen weitergegeben wird. Das Handwerk in seiner eigentlichen Form beinhaltet die Aspekte der Nachhaltigkeit vollständig und wird als selbstverständlicher Teil der Arbeit und Betriebskultur umgesetzt. Gerade das traditionelle Handwerk trägt maßgeblich zur Erreichung von Nachhaltigkeitszielen, wie zum Beispiel der Umsetzung von Klimaschutzvorgaben, bei. This thesis deals with traditional crafts in the building sector. Specifically, it focuses on the working methods in the building sector during Gründerzeit in Vienna from 1840 to 1918. First of all, it must be clarified how crafts developed in Austria and what the term crafts means, as it is not clearly defined in secondary literature. The buildings of Gründerzeit are an excellent source for reconstructing traditional craft techniques. Only through an intensive study of the different crafts that were involved in the construction, their tools and techniques, the use of the materials available at the time and their application, the valuable and knowledgeable work can be recognized. How much craftsmanship is involved in a Gründerzeit house? What skills and knowledge were necessary to construct these buildings and which of them are required today for care, maintenance and renovation? Without the extensive knowledge of traditional handicraft techniques and the materials used, the preservation of historical buildings would not be possible, at least with regard to the preservation of historical monuments. In order to preserve historic buildings, skilled craftsmen with extensive knowledge of traditional techniques are indispensable. In order to ensure that these necessary traditional techniques do not get lost, internal and external further education and training of craftsmen should not be neglected. The Department of Historic Crafts at the Federal Monuments Office makes an important contribution in this area in the form of archives, professional training and as an information center for all those involved in the preservation of monuments. A wealth of knowledge about the correct handling and use of tools and materials describes the essence of traditional craftsmanship. An exceptional professional ethos helps to ensure that knowledge is passed on. Handicraft in its true form fully incorporates the aspects of sustainability and is implemented as a natural part of work and work culture. Traditional crafts in particular contribute significantly to the achievement of sustainability goals, such as the implementation of climate protection goals. Die kommerzielle Verarbeitung von Post-Consumer-Rezyklaten rückt immer mehr in den Fokus. Doch können dabei einige Probleme auftreten. Gegenüber Neuware weisen viele verarbeitungstechnisch wichtige Parameter dieser Rezyklate immer eine gewisse Schwankungsbreite auf. So auch die Fließfähigkeit, was die Herstellung von Produkten mit gleichbleibend hoher Qualität bei sensiblen Herstellungsverfahren erheblich erschwert. Um diese Schwankungen auszugleichen kann dem Rezyklat eine gewisse Menge Neuware mit bekannten Fließeigenschaften beigemengt werden. Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Ermittlung einer Mischungsregel, die eine Vorhersage der Fließfähigkeit sowie anderer Materialkennwerte von Polypropylen-Blends ermöglicht. Um das Mischungsverhalten der Fließfähigkeit zu untersuchen, wurde ein Neumaterial mit bekanntem Melt-Flow-Index (MFI) ausgewählt, mit dem unterschiedliche Blends hergestellt wurden. Als Mischungspartner wurden mehrere Neumaterialien, kommerzielle Post-Consumer-Rezyklate und verschiedene Modellrezyklate (Mischungen aus verschiedenen Neumaterialien) ausgewählt. Um den Einfluss von Polyethylen (PE)-Verunreinigungen zu untersuchen, wurde manchen Blends ein gewisser PE-Anteil beigemengt. Der Anteil der Polypropylen-Mischungspartner betrug 0-100 %, die Blends wurden in 10 % Schritten mithilfe eines Compounders hergestellt. Anschließend wurde der MFI aller Blends bestimmt. Bei allen Proben wurde ein exponentieller Abfall des MFI festgestellt. Je größer die MFI-Differenz der Mischungspartner desto ausgeprägter war dieser. Zwischen den Versuchsgruppen konnten keine signifikanten Unterschiede ausgemacht werden. Anschließend wurden sechs verschiedene, bekannte Mischungsregeln angewendet und die Ergebnisse mit den experimentellen Werten verglichen. Dabei wurden sehr gute Näherungen erzielt. Die besten Ergebnisse wurden mit der Mischungsregel nach Cragoe erreicht. Mit diesem Modell wurde das MFI-Mischungsverhalten aller Blends sehr gut vorhergesagt. Zusätzlich wurde das Mischungsverhalten von verschiedenen mechanischen Materialkennwerten von einem Neumaterial- und einem Rezyklat-Blend untersucht. Für beide Blends wurde dasselbe Neumaterial wie oben verwendet, zur Ermittlung der Kennwerte wurden Zug- und Kerbschlagbiegeversuche durchgeführt. Dabei wurde festgestellt, dass die betrachteten mechanischen Parameter anderen Mischungsregeln folgen als der MFI. Außerdem wurden große Unterschiede im Mischungsverhalten zwischen dem Neumaterial- und dem Rezyklat-Blend festgestellt. The commercial processing of post-consumer recyclates is increasingly coming into focus. However, some problems can arise in processing. Compared to virgin material, many parameters of these recyclates that are important for processing always show a certain range of variation. This also applies to the flowability, which makes the production of recyclates to consistently high quality products difficult. To compensate for the property fluctuations, a certain amount of virgin material with known flowabilities could be added to the recyclate. This work deals with the determination of a mixing rule that allows a prediction of the flowability and other material properties of polypropylene blends. In order to investigate the blending behavior of the flowability, a virgin material with a known melt flow index (MFI) was selected to produce different polymer blends. Several virgin materials, commercial post-consumer recyclates, and various artificial recyclates (blends of different virgin materials) were selected as blending partners. To investigate the influence of polyethylene (PE) impurities, PE was added to some blends. The proportion of the polypropylene blending partners was 0-100 % and the blends were prepared in 10 % steps using a compounder. The MFI of all blends was then determined. An exponential decrease of the MFI was found for all samples with greater pronunciation at higher MFI differences of the blending partners. No significant differences could be found between the above-mentioned test groups. Additionally, six different, existing mixing rules were applied and the results were compared with the experimental values. Very good approximations were obtained. Best results were achieved with the mixing rule according to Cragoe. With this model, the MFI mixing behavior of all blends could be predicted very well. In addition, the mixing behavior of different mechanical material properties of a virgin and a recyclate blend was investigated. The same virgin material as above was used for both blends. Tensile and notched Charpy impact tests were carried out to determine the characteristic values. It was found that the mechanical parameters considered follow different mixing rules than the melt flow index, and large differences in mixing behavior were also found between the virgin and recyclate blend. eingereicht von Manuel Farthofer, BSc Masterarbeit Universität Linz 2022

    Neben den Krankheiten Anorexia nervosa, Bulimie nervosa und Binge-Eating-Disorder existiert noch eine andere immer häufiger auftretende Essstörung, die vor allem durch übermäßigen Sport ausgelöst wird: Anorexia athletica. Anorexia athletica, oder auch athletische Nervosa genannt, tritt besonders häufig bei AthletInnen auf, die einen Leistungssport ausüben, bei dem viel Wert auf einen schlanken Körper gelegt wird, wie z.B. Skispringen, Radfahren, Klettern und Langstreckenlauf (Reel, 2013, S.25).Wenn auch Anorexia athletica bis dato noch nicht laut ICD 10 und 11 (International Code of Deseases) als eigene Krankheit aufgelistet sei, besteht für Betroffene ein großes Risiko, ausgehend von Anorexia athletica an einer Vollform der Anorexia nervosa zu erkranken. Ein typisches Merkmal für SportlerInnen mit Anorexia athletica ist die starke Verminderung des eigenen Körpergewichts durch eine zu geringe Kalorienzufuhr bei zusätzlich hoher sportlicher Belastung. Wesentlich ist, dass im Gegensatz zur Magersucht, eine Körperschemastörung keine Begleiterscheinung ist. Die Dauer der Erkrankung beschränkt sich im Normalfall auf den Zeitraum, in dem der übermäßige Sport betrieben wird. Das verminderte Essverhalten dient lediglich dazu, eine bestimmte Leistungsfähigkeit zu erzielen und nicht dazu, so dünn wie möglich zu sein. Die erreichte Leistungsfähigkeit und der damit verbundene Erfolg führt zu einer konstanten Aufrechterhaltung des gestörten Essverhaltens. Wenn die Komponenten sportliche Leistungsfähigkeit und Körpergewicht nicht zueinander in Relation gesetzt werden, kann es dazu kommen, dass sowohl die gewünschte Leistung nicht mehr erbracht werden kann, als auch, dass negative Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit entstehen (Hoffmann, 2009, S. 6). Ein zu gering gewählter Kalorienwert kann zu einer hormonellen Regulationsstörung und folglich zum Ausbilden einer sekundären Amenorrhö, sowie einer Osteopenie/Osteoperose führen (Friedmann-Bette, 2012, S.7). Neben Auswirkungen wie die Störung des Energiestoffwechsels, hormonelles Ungleichgewicht und Mangel an Mineralien und Vitaminen, spielen auch psychische Störungen als Nebenerscheinung für Betroffene eine wichtige Rolle (Hoffmann, 2009, S. 1). In addition to anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder, there is another increasingly common eating disorder that is triggered primarily by excessive exercise: anorexia athletica. Anorexia athletica, or athletic nervosa, is especially common in athletes who participate in competitive sports that place a lot of emphasis on a lean body, such as ski jumping, cycling, rock climbing, and long-distance running (Reel, 2013, p. 25).Even if anorexia athletica has not yet been listed as a separate disease according to ICD 10 and 11 (International Code of Diseases), there is a high risk of progressing from anorexia athletica to a full-blown form of Anorexia nervosa. A typical characteristic for athletes with anorexia athletica is the strong reduction of their own body weight due to a too low calorie intake, with an additional high athletic load. It is essential that, in contrast to anorexia, a body schema disorder is not an accompanying symptom. The duration of the disease is normally limited to the period in which people practice the excessive sport. The reduced eating behaviour serves only to tell a certain performance and not to be as thin as possible. The achieved performance and the associated success leads to a constant maintenance of the disturbed eating behaviour. If the components of athletic performance and body weight are not put into relation, it can come to the fact that the desired performance can no longer be achieved and that negative effects on health arise (Hoffmann, 2009, p. 6). A calorie value that is too low can lead to a hormonal regulation disorder and consequently to the development of secondary amenorrhea and osteopenia/osteoperosis. (Friedmann-Bette, 2012, p. 7). In addition to effects such as the disturbance of energy metabolism, hormonal imbalance and deficiency of minerals and vitamins, psychological side effects also play an important role (Hoffmann, 2009, p. 1). eingereicht von: Lisa Marie Michitsch Abweichender Titel laut Übersetzung der Verfasserin/des Verfassers Bachelorarbeit FH JOANNEUM 2022

    Nach den aktuellen Regierungsprogrammen, soll Österreich bis zum Jahr 2040 klimaneutral werden. Klimaneutralität bedeutet, dass insgesamt weniger CO2 emittiert als aufgenommen bzw. gebunden werden kann. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist vor allem die Baubranche gefordert, Maßnahmen für mehr Nachhaltigkeit zu treffen, um die CO2-Emissionen in Zukunft zu reduzieren und die nationalen und internationalen Klimaziele zu erreichen. Die Asphaltproduktion als Teilbereich der Baubranche steht somit ebenfalls vor der Herausforderung, ihre CO2-Emissionen zu reduzieren und ein Bewusstsein für den Klimaschutz zu schaffen. Die gegenständliche Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Untersuchung und Analyse von Maßnahmen zur Reduktion der CO2-Emissionen bei der Asphaltproduktion. Ziel ist es, die Nachhaltigkeitspotentiale bei der Asphaltproduktion aufzuzeigen und unterschiedliche Maßnahmen zu untersuchen, mit welchen der Ausstoß von Treibhausgasen bei der Asphaltproduktion verringert werden kann. Einleitend werden die Randbedingungen der Untersuchungen erläutert sowie die Systemgrenzen festgelegt. Anschließend wird auf den Baustoff Asphalt, die Asphaltproduktion sowie auf die aktuellen Normen und Richtlinien im Zusammenhang mit der Asphaltproduktion eingegangen. Im zweiten Teil der Arbeit wird die Umweltwirkung der konventionellen Asphaltproduktion ermittelt. Auf Basis der gewonnenen Daten wurden folgende Maßnahmen untersucht, um die CO2-Emissionen bei der konventionellen Asphaltproduktion zu reduzieren: - Zugabe von Asphaltrecycling - Reduktion der Feuchtigkeit des Gesteins - Art des Energieträgers - Auslastung der Asphaltmischanlage Abschließend findet sich eine Darstellung der Ergebnisse mit Schlussfolgerung auf Basis der vorangegangenen Untersuchungen. According to the current government programmes, Austria is to become climate neutral by 2040. Climate neutrality means that in total less CO2 is emitted than can be absorbed or bound. Against this background, the construction industry in particular is called upon to take measures for more sustainability in order to reduce CO2 emissions in the future and to achieve the national and international climate targets. Asphalt production, as a sub-sector of the construction industry, is thus also faced with the challenge of reducing its CO2 emissions and creating awareness for climate protection. This study deals with the investigation and analysis of measures to reduce CO2 emissions in asphalt production. The aim is to show the sustainability potentials in asphalt production and to examine different measures with which the emission of greenhouse gases in asphalt production can be reduced. At the beginning, the boundary conditions of the investigations are explained and the system boundaries are defined. Then, the building material asphalt, asphalt production and the current standards and guidelines with regard asphalt production are discussed. In the second part of the paper, the environmental impact of conventional asphalt production is determined. Based on the data obtained, the following measures were investigated to reduce CO2 emissions in conventional asphalt production: - Addition of asphalt recycling - Reduction of the moisture content of the aggregate - Type of energy source - Utilisation of the asphalt mixing plant Finally, there is a presentation of the results with a conclusion based on the previous investigations.     Authors: Riebe, Frauke; Marquardt, Jan;

    Beim Wahlkampf zur Bundestagswahl 2021 war der Klimawandel eines der vorherrschenden Themen. Die Partei der Grünen, mit ihrem Kernthema Klimaschutz, erlangte im Verlauf des Wahlkampfs ein zwischenzeitliches Umfragehoch und stand zeitweise sogar als stärkste Partei in den Umfragen dar. Im öffentlichen Diskurs zeigen sich offenbar vor allem jüngere Leute sehr besorgt bezüglich des globalen Klimawandels und setzen sich, beispielsweise durch die "Fridays for Future"-Bewegung, vehement für Klimaschutz ein. Dieser Beitrag zeigt die veränderte Wahrnehmung des Klimathemas in der Bevölkerung zwischen den Bundestagswahlen 2017 und 2021 auf und fragt danach, inwiefern das Thema in verschiedenen Altersgruppen mit dem Wahlverhalten in Beziehung steht. Genutzt werden die Daten des GLES Trackings sowie des GLES-Nachwahl-Querschnitts zur Wahl 2021. Climate change was one of the dominant topics in the election campaign for the 2021 Bundestag elections. The Green Party, with its core issue of climate protection, reached an interim high in the polls during the election campaign and at times even stood as the strongest party in the polls. In public discourse, particularly younger people seem to be very concerned about global climate change and are vehemently committed to climate protection, for example through the "Fridays for Future" movement. This paper shows the changing perception of the climate issue in the population between the 2017 and 2021 federal elections and asks to what extent the issue is related to voting behaviour in different age groups. Data from the GLES Tracking and the GLES Post-Election Cross-Section for the 2021 election are used.

    Authors: Böhm, Jonas; Tietz, Andreas;

    In diesem Working Paper wird eine Abschätzung des möglichen zukünftigen Bedarfs an landwirtschaftlicher Fläche für den Ausbau von Photovoltaik-Freiflächenanlagen in Deutschland erarbeitet. Für die Abschätzung werden aktuelle politische Ziele sowie verschiedene Energieszenarien betrachtet, um den Bedarf an installierter PV-Leistung in einem vollständig transformierten Energiesystem zu ermitteln. Die benötigte PV-Leistung kann auf verschiedenen Flächen (wie z.B. Dachflächen, Agrarflächen) installiert werden. Wie viele der Anlagen auf landwirtschaftlichen Flächen errichtet werden, hängt von vielen Faktoren ab und kann sich zukünftig sehr unterschiedlich entwickeln. Darüber hinaus wird der zukünftige Flächenbedarf von der spezifischen Flächeninanspruchnahme, also wie viel Fläche je installierter Leistung benötigt wird, beeinflusst. Alle drei Einflussgrößen sind mit einer hohen Unsicherheit behaftet. Als wahrscheinlichste Entwicklung werden das aktuelle politische Ziel von 215 GWp installierter Leistung bis 2030 und von 400 GWp für ein vollständiges transformiertes Energiesystem bis 2040, ein Anteil von 50 % auf landwirtschaftlichen Flächen sowie eine spezifische Flächeninanspruchnahme von 1,4 ha/MWp angenom-men. Darauf basierend ergibt sich eine Flächeninanspruchnahme bei einem transformierten Energiesystem (Jahr 2040) von 280.000 ha. Das entspricht einem Anteil an der aktuell landwirtschaftlich genutzten Fläche von 1,7 %. Die Spannweite aller betrachteten Szenarien liegt zwischen 0,3 % und 4 %, was die hohe Unsicherheit der Prognose aufzeigt.

    Nach den aktuellen Regierungsprogrammen, soll Österreich bis zum Jahr 2040 klimaneutral werden. Klimaneutralität bedeutet, dass insgesamt weniger CO2 emittiert als aufgenommen bzw. gebunden werden kann. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist vor allem die Baubranche gefordert, Maßnahmen für mehr Nachhaltigkeit zu treffen, um die CO2-Emissionen in Zukunft zu reduzieren und die nationalen und internationalen Klimaziele zu erreichen. Die Asphaltproduktion als Teilbereich der Baubranche steht somit ebenfalls vor der Herausforderung, ihre CO2-Emissionen zu reduzieren und ein Bewusstsein für den Klimaschutz zu schaffen. Die gegenständliche Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Untersuchung und Analyse von Maßnahmen zur Reduktion der CO2-Emissionen bei der Asphaltproduktion. Ziel ist es, die Nachhaltigkeitspotentiale bei der Asphaltproduktion aufzuzeigen und unterschiedliche Maßnahmen zu untersuchen, mit welchen der Ausstoß von Treibhausgasen bei der Asphaltproduktion verringert werden kann. Einleitend werden die Randbedingungen der Untersuchungen erläutert sowie die Systemgrenzen festgelegt. Anschließend wird auf den Baustoff Asphalt, die Asphaltproduktion sowie auf die aktuellen Normen und Richtlinien im Zusammenhang mit der Asphaltproduktion eingegangen. Im zweiten Teil der Arbeit wird die Umweltwirkung der konventionellen Asphaltproduktion ermittelt. Auf Basis der gewonnenen Daten wurden folgende Maßnahmen untersucht, um die CO2-Emissionen bei der konventionellen Asphaltproduktion zu reduzieren: - Zugabe von Asphaltrecycling - Reduktion der Feuchtigkeit des Gesteins - Art des Energieträgers - Auslastung der Asphaltmischanlage Abschließend findet sich eine Darstellung der Ergebnisse mit Schlussfolgerung auf Basis der vorangegangenen Untersuchungen. According to the current government programmes, Austria is to become climate neutral by 2040. Climate neutrality means that in total less CO2 is emitted than can be absorbed or bound. Against this background, the construction industry in particular is called upon to take measures for more sustainability in order to reduce CO2 emissions in the future and to achieve the national and international climate targets. Asphalt production, as a sub-sector of the construction industry, is thus also faced with the challenge of reducing its CO2 emissions and creating awareness for climate protection. This study deals with the investigation and analysis of measures to reduce CO2 emissions in asphalt production. The aim is to show the sustainability potentials in asphalt production and to examine different measures with which the emission of greenhouse gases in asphalt production can be reduced. At the beginning, the boundary conditions of the investigations are explained and the system boundaries are defined. Then, the building material asphalt, asphalt production and the current standards and guidelines with regard asphalt production are discussed. In the second part of the paper, the environmental impact of conventional asphalt production is determined. Based on the data obtained, the following measures were investigated to reduce CO2 emissions in conventional asphalt production: - Addition of asphalt recycling - Reduction of the moisture content of the aggregate - Type of energy source - Utilisation of the asphalt mixing plant Finally, there is a presentation of the results with a conclusion based on the previous investigations.
